Paula Chair

This chair is the result of suspended seat explorations which later resulted in a signature characteristic of my chairs. The rope that is woven onto the frame is naturally dyed with cochineal bugs. The natural dye was done in collaboration with designer Caroline Adamy. 

This chair captures the essence of Ecuadorian culture. The seat is inspired by Ecuadorian hammocks and weavings. The rope is woven into the structure acting as a loom.
